General Information on Presentations
- Presentation Length
- Organized Sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes in length INCLUDING questions, preparation and wrap-up. All details on the structure of your session should be available from your session organizer or chair.
- Individual Abstract Oral Sessions are 1 hour in length INCLUDING questions, preparation and wrap-up. Each session can have between 3-5 abstracts. Your presentation length depends upon the number of abstracts per session:
- 3 Abstracts: 15 minutes
- 4 Abstracts: 12 minutes
- 5 Abstracts: 10 minutes
- Audio-Visual
- All session rooms come equipped with a data and overhead projector. They are also equipped with dedicated computers. As a result you will not be permitted to use your own laptops for presentations.
- Only PowerPoint 2000, Adobe Acrobat 6 or presentations on acetate (transparencies) are allowed. We suggest that if you plan on using PowerPoint or Acrobat for your presentation that you also bring a back-up copy on acetate. In addition, it is also prudent to bring paper copies of your presentation for distribution.
- If you are planning a PowerPoint presentation you MUST have it loaded into the machine in your presentation room the day before your scheduled presentation. We will deal with presenters unable to meet this requirement on a case-by-case basis. Note however that you MUST contact us well ahead of time if you will be unable to meet this requirement.
Support staff will be available on Saturday and Sunday and from 0800-0900 and 1300-1400 on Monday and Tuesday to assist in loading your presentation. You must bring your presentation on either a CD or a USB memory stick.
- You Must Use the Code Assigned to you as the Filename of your Presentation!
- Poster Specifications
- Due to space limitations each poster is limited to a maximum dimension of 1 metre by 1 metre (3 feet by 3 feet).
