XXVII Conference on Health Economics: The Governance of Health Care Systems: Asociación de EconomÃa de la Salud (AES)

The XXVII conference of the Asociación de EconomÃa de la Salud will focus on the topic of Governance, which is to a great extent the answer to many challenges faced by Health Care Systems. Governance from the macro point of view of Health Systems, as well as the analysis of corporate governance of centres and institutions, and, above all, clinical governance as the factor that determines the quality and efficiency of the whole structure, will constitute the main themes of discussion.
We invite researchers to present their contributions for; Conferences, the Contributed Sessions, and the Poster Sessions in the following subjects:
- The perspective of economic governance as applied to health care systems.
- Clinical governance.
- Corporative governance of institutions and health centres.
- Governance of the Spanish National Health Service.
- Governance of private health systems.
In addition, the following topics will be discussed during the conference:
- Economic evaluation of medicines and health-related technology.
- Health Services Research: health status and disability, utilization, quality, appropriateness and costs.
- Health insurance, equity and financing.
- Human resources, health sector markets.
- Healthy behaviours, Lifestyle, etc.
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by the Scientific Committee. All selected abstracts will be required to provide a full manuscript before March 30, 2007.
