The theme of the Conference – Development and Sustainability of Health Care Systems: Demographic and Environmental Dynamics - may be faced both with theoretical and empirical papers pertaining either to Italian or foreign experiences.
Some examples of topics that fit the conference targets include:
- Investment in human capital and socio-economic growth
- Sustainability of health care expenditure
- Cooperation between public and private providers to guarantee the dynamic sustainability of National Health Service
- Environment and Health
- Impact of immigration
- Effects of population ageing
- Monitoring and revision of basic levels of public health care
A limited number of papers not specifically pertaining to the conference theme will be admitted for discussion in one ore more free sessions.
Contributions will be accepted both as structured papers (5.000-7000 words) for oral presentation or as short communications (posters). Proposals coming from young researchers, chiefly PhDs, will be highly considered along with proposals coming from foreigner researchers. One or more sessions in English language will also be organized.
The languages of the conference are English and Italian (with no simultaneous translation).
Abstracts are to be submitted in Italian or English (not exceeding 1/2 pages) and should include: author, title, objectives, study design, methodology, main results.
Authors should specify their preferred presentation form (oral presentation, poster presentation).
Abstracts are to be submitted before June 30, 2006, by e-mail either to the members of the Scientific Committee or to the Scientific Secretary (e-mail and postal addresses on the front page).
Each abstract will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and acceptance/rejection will be communicated by July 31, 2006.
Accepted papers must be submitted to the Scientific Secretary within September 30, 2006.
A discussant will be assigned to each paper accepted for oral presentation.
